Ares Arms is a fully licensed 07/02 FFL/SOT. What that means is we are permitted to buy, sell, and manufacture a variety of weapons including NFA regulated items such as suppressors, short barreled rifles, and short barreled shotguns to name a few. All NFA items, be it a suppressor or a SBR, have a mandated "tax stamp" assessed by the ATF. This is to be paid directly to the BATFE when your paperwork is submitted.
ARES Arms is also a Powered by Silencer Shop dealer. What this means is by clicking below, you have access to my personal page through Silencer Shop in which you can browse and even purchase your suppressors. All the required paperwork is handled in house and managed through my dealer network. Just set up an account!
If you know of an NFA item you would like, say a Wilson Combat SBR or a Liberty suppressor, let me know. I have several distributors that are available to me besides Silencer Shop to fill those needs, so reach out if you know what you want or even if you don't and have questions. My recommendations are not based on price, but on your need.
Ever wonder what's going to happen to your NFA items after you pass on? Does your spouse have access to your suppressors, SBR's, or any other NFA items that you own? Dealing with the government can be complicated and cumbersome. Set up NFA gun trust now to protect your property and your family. The link below will get you started wtih an trust that is prepared by a lawyer here in Texas who is experienced in NFA items. I have nothing to gain and I am not receiving any compensation by promoting this site, but he is the attorney that I have spoken to concerning my own personal NFA trust.
As a manufacturer and a class II dealer, I am able to build the gun of your dreams. All NFA builds are custom builds to your specs. Being that they are unique and personalized, I do require a percentage of the builds up front. All suppressors need to be paid for in advance prior to the order being placed.
If you've gotten this far, you already have some understanding of the process and procedures involved in obtaining NFA items. One of those is the wait times incurred waiting for your tax stamp to be approved. The wait times have improved but they still are in excess of several months before final approvals are sent out. Below is a link the the NFA tracker so you can get an idea of how long of a wait it could be.
